Our Origin Story
Navigating the care communication gap as a caregiver, CEO and Board President Natalie Benamou experienced firsthand delays in diagnoses for her eldest daughter. As she started sharing this experience, hundreds of women came forward with similar stories. A clear pattern of dismissal and minimization emerged, and together with women in her network, HER HEALTHX was formed.
HER HEALTHX is a 501c(3) nonprofit to address the root cause of this issue: there is a care communication gap between patients and providers. Patients want and need to share their full stories, while providers are trained to listen for specific keywords. The space between those two creates delays in diagnosis and worse outcomes for women's health, and HER HEALTHX is here to bridge that gap.
